Brazilian
Culture
The Brazilian culture is one of the world’s most varied
and diverse, this due to their being a variety of different background and
cultures. Around 80% of the population of Brazil believe in the Roman Catholic
faith. This is because of the intense Portuguese migration centuries ago.
Music is a big part of Brazil, as it represents their
nation very well. Dancing is also part of the culture as it can be seen very
commonly in the streets of Brazil.
As Brazil is a immense populated nation sport is very
popular, especially football (soccer).
Brazil held the World Cup in 2014 (The
biggest sporting event in the world), and it was a tremendous success, as the
final of the World Cup had over one billion viewers. Brazil in their history
have won the World Cup five times.
The colour mainly associated with Brazil is yellow. Most
if not all, of Brazil’s professional sport teams wear the jersey colour yellow.
This is also shown in the making of their flag.
Due to the centuries of immigration, Brazilian cuisines
come from a vast variety, such as: African, Asian, Middle Eastern, Italian,
Spanish, Amerindian, Chinese and Japanese. Rice and beams are diet staples,
coupled with spices, meat, fresh fruit, vegetables and fish. There are many favourite
dishes in Brazil e.g. Kibbeh, Coxinhay, Gaucho Rodizo etc.
Street markets are also a popular feature in all areas of
Brazil, they offer a wide selection of foods from many multicultural cuisines
all over the world. Street markets are also and excellent attraction for
tourists as they get the wonderful experience of being in Brazilian towns and
habitats, they also have a way of meeting new people from the country.
Lastly is the economy. Brazil has been experiencing a
severe financial crisis since 2015 which is mostly associated with the
political scandal that lead to the impeachment of the president, Dilma Rouseff,
in 2016. Despite this the new president, Michael Temer, is recovering the
country slowly from the downfall it had two years ago.

Very good but maybe you can state why yellow is most associated with Brazil. There are also some minor typos and you should add some photos to make the blog more appealing. Overall, well done, you have provided a lot of information on interesting topics.
ReplyDeleteThis could've had more details about Brazil's past, as this is mostly about things that have come to be recently. Otherwise, this was really good.
ReplyDeleteLike it, but text is a little too big. Makes it look like there is little information. Good work overall!
