Culture Of Japan
Japan is a country off the east coast Asia, consisting of 5 main islands and altogether have 6,852, although only 430 of them are inhabited.
Religion
The 2 main religions of Japan are Shintoism and Buddhism, and most people practice both as they are quite compatible and not contradictory. There are many shrines and temples practically everywhere, shrines for Shintoism and Buddhism. Both types of shrines are popular tourist attractions some of the popular ones being in Kyoto including.

A Shinto Shrine in Hiroshima which is famous for having its Torii (The gate of the shrine) partly submerged during high tide.

Food
Japanese Cuisine mainly consists of rice and seafood, with at least 1 or 2 meals per day containing rice. Seafood is in most Japanese Cuisine including Tempura, Takoyaki, sashimi, sushi and much much more.
Housing
Most Japanese houses are made from wood and paper, and even in modern houses, there is usually a room with tatami mats and sliding doors. It is standard to take off shoes at the door before going inside.
Clothing
Until the Meiji Era Kimonos were the main clothing of Japan with basically everyone wearing one. Nowadays it is more common to only wear them on special occasions like festivals and ceremonies.
